Jesus should be put back in the government!

I heard that the Bible very probably had a great many authors. I heard somewhere around 50. I have no idea what the source I read is or if that's reliable... I just wonder if someone else could step in now knowing whether this info is at all correct or not...

If the voice tells them what they want to hear, it's "god."

If not, it's some demon.

Well when is it his own thoughts then? Or are his own mortal "sinful" thoughts that aren't what he 'truly wants' (so aren't of "God") completely indistinguishable from demons?

RE: Jesus should be put back in the government!
You are absolutely correct EVF because the bible states that without faith it is impossible to please him.
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

In Christianity faith in god is the foundation of the entire religion. You call it circular reasoning but I call it no reasoning at all. Like I have always said in other threads the bibles idea of logic is ass backwards to what we call logic and what we understand to be reasoning.

Well 'to them' it may be 'reasonable' hence 'reasoning'...but it still absolutely makes no sense and is completely illogical.

Oh what am I thinking... of course circular reasoning works... how?

Well... it works because it works because it works because it works... see.

Lmao! Here is the formula
How do you know god exist?
Because he does
What proof do you have?
I feel it in my soul
How do you know the soul exist?
Because its in me and my heart tells me so
So who made god?
He just is

yeah, that makes alot of fucking sense lol

Yeah, too much talk of the nonsense that is religious belief tends to bring that out of me.

That's kind of ehhh....bulletproof. To log into my bank account (yeah even I have one) is a lot more tricky. But I reckon since big claims need only marginal evidence, important communication needs no authentication whatsoever. Makes sense.

Exactly right! When I was in the ministry I used to refer to myself as the black sheep of the ministry. I was not there to comfort anyone I preached what I felt in my heart for better or for worse. I never fell into the trappings of preaching wealth and prosperity, or any other mundane trash. What I noticed was that if you were a preacher that told the church that they were blessed beyond all measure, that god was going to prosper them, heal them and save their entire family you were extremely popular. Underneath all of that piety there is nothing but human greed and self absorbency.
