When you get down to it, isn't that the problem with most Christians, especially fundamental Christians?
They have exactly zero perspective outside of their own little worldview.

Yep. It's not called the religious bubble for nothing.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

BTW: some of those groups you mention have legitimate reasons to have gripes with society, though few openly scream persecution.
And some Muslims will just riot.
I don't think there is any institutionalized persecution in the US, but there is a strong move on to put christianity down. It's probably coming mostly from Hollywood, which has enormous power to influence public perception. Of course institutionalized christianity has persecuted various groups over history too, but none of it is right.
Is anyone stopping Christians from believing in Christianity in the US? That sounds outrageous if so.

There actually is a very dangerous one. They are the sick institutions that like to cater to gay de-conversions.

Just when we thought it couldn't get any worse, he comes out with this: http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014...tian-faith
The sooner we get the Tories out of power, the better. If a more secular leader is in power, we actually have a chance of ridding ourselves of the "lords spiritual".

Quote:David Cameron has declared himself an "evangelical" about his Christian faith as he criticised some non-believers for failing to grasp the role that religion can have in "helping people to have a moral code".

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. I saw this and it did annoy me. I'm not sure if it's just trying to appeal to the potential UKIP voter, or whether he actually believes it. Both Ed Miliband and Nick Clegg are Atheists and most people couldn't care less.
The only thing that would really bother me is the mention of increasing religious institutions, like Faith schools.

Faith schools have increased almost year on year without exception since Blair decided that it'd be good to see the sector expand to encompass all different faiths and beliefs.
And of course, with academies effectively being an open door for anyone and everyone to start a school, expect to see even more either up front or clandestine religious groups operating in the background of schools (just like the allegations about Islamic extremists operating in Birmingham schools has revealed).
