From my experience, compared with the experiences of others, that usually only happens when one brown-noses those higher up in the corporate hierarchy. I have worked with places for years where I remained part-time and never got promoted even though I worked harder than anyone else in the department. I received customer compliments all the time, but I was never even considered for a raise or promotion.
Maybe you need a makeover or something.

If that's the case, you might as well knock up the boss's daughter.

I don't think he's interested in that.

Unconventional opinions

Always hated Seinfeld. I was pleasantly surprised by his "do you know who I am?" flip out on Larry King. Suddenly didn't feel so bad about always having a distaste for the guy.

There are so many stupid people ruled by "public opinion" they don't understand, and voting from a partisan standpoint it almost seems pointless.

Babies are ugly, most of the time
Can't help it, kids are cute a lot of the time. But babies are ugly, stupid drooling things that women go absolutely gaga over for no good reason, other than that they have Fallopian tubes that really want one.
"Isn't he cute?" Look: the last time your husband came home cross-eyed and drooling, and pissed all over himself in the living room, did you think that was cute? No? Why not? Oh: because it's a baby. Got it.
So you're going to pop out several of these, demand everyone else jibbers and wets themselves over how great they are, and be reduced to "aww, lookit the baby" every time someone brings one within 30' of you. Great.

I am increasingly pissed off by people, who can't see the difference between actual victim blaming versus giving good advice on staying safe until the threat has been dealt with.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

1. How would we terraform the moon? How, with current technology, would we go about exploring the cosmos to a greater degree than we already are (which is to say with satellites, probes, rovers etc)?
2. How sentient should the animal be? Where will you draw the line? If they're going to be treated as people, will they be subject to human laws? This idea is just plain mental.
Actually I think most of your ideas are pretty shit or stupid, or exist only in a utopian fantasy. I mean I guess sure, free water and food for all would be terrific. But you might as well put 'nobody should have to work', it's pointless.

Well first of all, it's inevitable that we will explore and terraform other planets or moons. As far as how to do it? why the hell are you asking me how to do it? Do you realize this is a hypothetical thread and not an actual call to action of ones ideas?

Sufficiently sentient.
Dolphins and Orca's qualify. I'd give them a lot more rights than they currently do, wouldn't you? Or are you some heartless piece of shit that doesn't care for another living things suffering on the same level or close the same level of suffering you can.

That's why they're called "unconventional opinions" you unpleasant douche.
Go into why they're bad ideas instead of just making a blanket statement. Most of my list is pretty damn sensible I don't know what kind of guy has a problem with things like proper distribution of wealth or wanting better gaming or no taboo over things etc.

That cripple Pistorius doesn't even deserve a pretty blonde woman in bed with him, much less his own life.
