What Do You Believe Will Happen To You Once You Die?

NOPE it does not. The important thing to know about evolution and science, there is not one single atom in a living human that is an adult or old that was in them when the sperm met the egg. We are constantly taking in atoms and expelling atoms our entire lives from birth to death. I agree our atoms move on, but they do not retain what was us collectively anymore than a wheel can be the collective car after it gets totaled in a crash. My component parts will return to the Earth and keep the cycle going until such time as the Sun consumes the planet.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Thank you ahead of time for your responses.Life goes on without me, just like a tree goes on living after a leaf falls off of it and dies. It will feel exactly the same after I die as it did before I was born. Thank you for your sincere and honest reply.
Seriously, Rev, what do you think atheists think happens after you die?
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Thank you for your passive aggressive condescending "thank you". I don't buy it for one second. You did this so you could either gloat to yourself subconsciously about how morally superior you are, or did this to put us on display as fatalistic pessimistic lost puppies to make yourself feel better. Now you really want to "thank" me. Pony up with why you think "all this" is a result of a magic invisible super hero.
Nothing. I'll be dead.

His all loving daddy will give us the option when we face him to say "oops I guess I was wrong" if he is a watered down PC theist. Or we simply burn in hell. But even if this claimed fictional character gave me the option of saying "oops, my bad, you do exist", it still would not make me want to hang out with such a selective inept deadbeat only to kiss his ass forever. Wait for more dodges and bible verses and see how they squirm out of this. |
