What evidence do you have to disprove the existence of a God?

Strike me down now to prove to your followers and everyone else that you exist. I dare YOU!

Nope, still here.

Personally I'd settle for demonstrable evidence that christian societies do a lot better than non christian ones. If he wants to make himself out to be nicer in the last third of the book, go with showing how being a christian always, or at least usually, ensures a more successful life on the personal level and societal level.

It is actually the traits that some assign to this god.

Like rising from the dead. You made a claim that doesn't hold up.

and remember. People don't like religion at times because it is used as a weapon. I blame the people using it as a weapon, not the religion per say. Most Catholics I know are hard working nice people. They don't want the church to be anti-gay, but ask why can't gays start their own church. If they opened a bar, can't they request it be a straight bar if they want?

When catholic says "gay is anti god.", I ask them what makes a person gay? of course most don't know jack shit about why ... so that is a debate killer. Just like in here.

also, telling people that if you don't believe in my god your bad ... that/s just flat out rude to me.

No, blame the religion.

1. A complete lack of evidence that even suggests there might be a god.
2. Which god? There are billions of them. There are numerous different religions, sects, and denominations all getting different "messages from god."
3. Prayer has never been demonstrated to actually work.
4. Arguments for the existence of god are all very poor and not well-constructed logically.
5. Almost all, if not all, religions use apologetics -- stuff that's real does not need to be defended in such a manner.
6. All sacred texts are scientifically erroneous.

There is nothing that could qualify as conclusive proof that some sort of god definitely does not exist but the real world evidence suggests that god exists only in the minds of those who believe in it.

If there really were a god I would expect there to actually be ... a god.
A mind is a terrible thing to waste -- don't pollute it with bullshit.

Well the best evidence that I can think of is that God never interacts with the world. The claim is made that there is the most important, most powerful being in existence doesn't appear or really do anything noticeable. I find that unbelievable, therefore I do not believe. There is simply no reason that an all powerful being would both want to be worshiped and hide himself. It just doesn't jive.

I've got nothing. You'll have to decide what to believe about that for which there is no evidence for or against using your own criteria. I don't believe in any gods for the same reason I don't believe in other fanciful things for which there is no evidence? Why do you?

I hate to tell you this Walker, but the replies you get here aren't going to any different than those you got during your last foray onto an atheist forum. The essence of which is that it isn't that there is a preponderance of evidence for no god as much as a lack of evidence for god. Sorry you don't like and/or understand that answer, but that's the way it is.

This wouldn't have anything to do with having your ass handed to you every time you've mentioned your beliefs over the last week and half would it?

Why do theists want evidence against the existence of god? You have never seen the motherfucker and you want someone to prove he doesn't exist?

You say that you have a relationship with jesus but you have never seen the bitch. How the fuck does that work?

The truth is you are a nut that imagines stupid shit. You need medication if you are hearing jesus talk to you.

You need to take this test.

RE: What evidence do you have to disprove the existence of a God?
The evidence is like dark matter and dark energy.

and each person can have a description (this personal god I hear about) but it would have to be "seen" by and understood by others. For example one can claim dark matter is teapots. I don't have to do anything but laugh at that and call of help. But there is most certainly more than one reasonable answer at this time.

That is the biggest thing that confuses me about hard core theist, Why hold onto a description, like walking on water, that does not fit any observation at all? And why would they try and force that on people?
