Fixed that for you.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

"That's disgusting. There were clean athletes out there that have had their whole careers ruined by people like Lance Armstrong who just bended thoughts to fit their circumstances. He didn't look up cheating because he wanted to stop, he wanted to justify what he was doing and to keep that continuing on." - Nicole Cooke

Arabic, as a written language did not exist until the 6th century AD but there are inscriptions in Nabatean and writings in Greek...of course.

The name "as a name" is unknown. Which brings up the possibility that it was a title which was later institutionalized as a proper name: like Caesar, like Khan, or even David.

I haven't been able to find out anything more about document BL Add. 14,461 which mentions a Muhammad in a note other than - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historicity...te_note-34

Quote:W. Wright, Catalogue Of Syriac Manuscripts In The British Museum Acquired Since The Year 1838, 1870, Part I, Printed by order of the Trustees: London, No. XCIV, pp. 65-66. This book was republished in 2002 by Gorgias Press.

Nobody's said that the note was written in Arabic. So, was the title Muhammad invented for a war leader when the Arabs started their conquests? On the other hand, maybe it was an existing title but the earlier Muhammads didn't do anything important enough to be remembered for.

Thank you for the clarification; thoough the irony of swapping out two interchangeable words isn't lost on me.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Why did the Jews pick Jerusalem? A miserable little shithole with one small spring. Why do humans do anything?

Mecca is a miraculous place. Last summer I won a bottle of champagne in there, just by sacrificing my boxer shorts to an all-female scavenger hunt.

How come the British Thought Police don't hassle them for using the name of mo's home town?

Too many people praying there, probably. Even our police run from a pack of wild, cock-hungry chavettes in their tribal micromini/croptop/stiletto outfits and tanked up on WKD. They ain't that daft.

The original link appears broken so I went Googling. Is this the same thing?
http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/world/...430464.htm

"The 52-page Bible is written in Aramaic, the language Jesus spoke, and consists the depiction of the Last Supper, which shows Jesus dining with his 12 Apostles, and also a depiction of the crucifixion of Jesus, a symbol of the sun and a cross, according to Turkish newspaper Today's Zaman."

Even if it did exclude the crucifixion of Jesus, that's long been a denial of Muslim belief, and 1,500 years ago puts us around the time when Muslims may have recorded or strongly influenced such a work about Jesus.

Two important lines from that story.

One:
Quote:A handwritten Bible, believed to be 1,500 years old

Believed by whom?

Two:
Quote:The Bible will be sent abroad for carbon dating in order to determine its actual age,

Good idea.
