That's pretty mild considering what I have thrown at me in this forum. Ahh, you're one of those christians who mistakenly thinks that, if they don't use bad words, they haven't been rude and condescending. Sorry, but bad behavior isn't a magic fucking spell that you incant into a sentence with select words.

It's really sad you can imagine no other purpose in life than sucking up to a father figure for the rest of your life and for all eternity.
It's a nonsensical question. The more sensible question would be why you need to have an authority figure tell you what your purpose and meaning in life is. Most people find their purpose out on their own, instead of being told like a kindergartener what the purpose of their life should be, or what meaning they should find by living.
I don't have a purpose in life, I just simply live my life as it comes and then let go, just staying in the flow and not trying to dam the flow which only becomes stagnate and rotten.
Our purpose is our own and nobody else's. We chose what we want to get out of life.

Purpose of Atheists is to protect and value the truth above everything.
Purpose of Theists is to protect and value the faith above everything. ...in theory. In practice, most Atheists don't care about the truth and even less about the faith, and similarly most Theists don't care about the faith and even less about the truth. Both use the words that define them, but pay little heed to any of them. Purpose is a luxury in such scenario. ...being an Atheist at least removes the possibility to search your purpose in faith and illusions. Because I find that whole "atheist has no purpose" argument to be very strange coming from anyone who serves a god who doesn't really need him.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
