Lawrence Krauss wrote a damn fine book called "A Universe From Nothing - Why There is Something Rather Than Nothing". It's short; I read it in a single weekend, and I read it slowly as hell to make damn sure I understood it.

No, but I don't need to. If you ask me where the universe came from, I'll say "I don't know", which is an honest answer. I feel this is better than making up assertions that it came from gods or unicorns or aliens.

Can you prove your god created something from nothing? Can you prove your god exists? What caused your god to exist? Oh, look: you have more unanswerable questions than me, and my stance is one based on observable evidence.
