Why Jesus is not the messiah.

Could you please expand on "the only ones who say he's not ,are the ones with the most to lose"?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Jesus wasn't a charlatan. He was a figment of crazy Paul's imagination. Paul created the Jesus character as an instrument to destroy The Way cult. It's interesting that the main attribute Paul gave Jesus was that of resurrection. All of the rituals and religious doctrines Paul wrote about he claimed as his own and not Jesus'. Paul didn't mind other writers making up stuff about Jesus as long as they kept to the main theme. So the other writers added a lot of fanciful stuff to the fill out the Jesus biography.
A better subject might be why do Gentiles believe every Jewish fairy tale? Even the Bible says that they are BS. Quote:Is Christ the Messiah .? Well the only ones who say he's not ,are the ones with the most to lose . Is Christ the Messiah .? Well the only ones who say he's not ,are the ones who met him. There you go - fixed that for ya.

You really haven't seen christian's push all aspects of their agenda on others? We regularly have christian's come knocking on our door with the "good news", trying to win more converts with their lies. Then you have all the anti-gay and anti-choice legislation. And then there is most of history where, the christians persecuted anyone who didn't believe exactly what they did and wiped many sects from the face of the earth. You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid. Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis. No, the ones who say he is not, amongst theists, are the ones who have the source material that clearly shows Christ failed to meet the requirements for messianic status. As I showed, the source IS being considered, the source material itself, the documents upon which all the Abrahamic faiths are based off of, it's where these claims come from. The ones who want to say Christ WAS the messiah have THE most to lose if they admit their error; because if Christ was not the messiah, then the entire religion itself is suddenly null and void, where if Christ is the messiah, the Judaic faith has nothing to lose by going with it, because it would actually be in tune with what they've been believing this entire time. It would VALIDATE them, not destroy them. The Christian religion is muuuch larger than Judaism in numbers. Why? Well, there's a reason the Church spent so much time working to convert pagans and those who had never even heard of the Abrahamic religions, and not working to convert existing Abrahamic believers; because to those who are versed in the original source material know better, and it's easier to gain numbers from people who are already ignorant of the origins of the debate.
One of my first instances of questioning Jesus divinity occurred when I read about him withering the fig tree.
WTF ? Why didn't he heal it ??? His touch and desire for a fresh fig should have been more than sufficient to have resulted in the mutha of all fig trees. The fig tree is a metaphor for the Jews, who didn't believe in Jesus. So he effectively renounced (killed) them because they didn't get the new program he was selling. The story is in line with the one about shaking the dust off of one's sandals if the local yokels aren't receptive. |
