People believe in whatever they have good reason to believe.
Sometimes this "good reason", as subjective as it is, is viewed as a "bad reason" by others.
Still they trudge on with their "good reason".
Sometimes, due to extra information or simple peer pressure, the "good reason" is re-assessed and converted into a "bad reason".... sometimes, it's the other way around.

Ah... over-generalizations are fun!


Surely, even Hitler must have had his "good reasons" to eradicate certain populations.

Back when I was a Christian, I used to permanently worry about whether I was on God's path for my life, or taking the wrong road unintentionally. Now I don't have to worry about that anymore. No one can give my life meaning and purpose, but myself. I decide what path I want to take, how many, how fast or slow, etc. It's frightening at times, not having a "safety net" anymore, but oh so beautifully liberating.

lol, i knew in the 5th grade that if I took the wrong path ... god wouldn't care that much.

That being said, anybody that hold to the notion "Nobody but me! ... I pick my path" needs to be watched. To see if they understand what is going around them.
