One of my least favorite parts of atheism: that there is no Hell for some people to go to (although I might prefer a temporary Hell lol).
But...I can't say I'm too surprised...
I'm a bitch, I'm a lover
I'm a goddess, I'm a mother
I'm a sinner, I'm a saint
I do not feel ashamed

Tomorrow I have a job to do in a catholic church, it will be hard to keep my mouth shut.

So to generalize is pretty foolish. Bolded by me, hopefully you can see the bolded part and not need any further explanation on how I feel about that.
I can't believe everything must be spelled out for you. If you are implying that me saying "Protestants do not like the Catholic church" is a generalization, it is not because the name protestant means "to protest" the Catholic church.

I guess all I can do is repeat myself, you can't be serious right now?
I am neither catholic nor protestant (peep religious views) I'm simply stating that since the OP is addressing Catholics, don't expect protestants to come to their defense.
If you want to post protestant atrocities, then fine. But that is a far more slippery slope due to that there are around 30,000 different protestant denominations, who obviously don't agree with one another, let alone the Catholic church.

I was a Protestant for my whole life until the last 2.5 years. I never had a problem with the Catholic Church.

This is so weird to me
1) I have never known apologists to say, hey yea they're wrong but they're not the same denomination as me. The ones I've seen will defend any Christian religion down to the dumbest most ridiculous arguments.
2)you're missing my point that saying oh yea but they're Catholics and we are baptists so we're not the same is a really stupid argument.
Christian atrocities are Christian atrocities. They all use the same holy book to defend the terrible things they do.

Nope, Catholics have their own version of the Bible with 7 added books not found in the regular Bible.
Tobit, Judith, 1 and 2 Maccabees, Wisdom, Sirach, and Baruch.

And when Protestants do horrible things they use the same damn holy book with less chapters to defend their actions. It is not their own version. It's the exact same version plus extra crap.
Muslims don't use the same book at all and saying, well yea they're evil bc they're Christians, but we are not bc we are Muslims is still a stupid argument. There is no defending atrocities. I don't care who the perpetrator is. I don't care if they're Protestants, Catholics, satanists, or anyone else who worships a deity. Killing illegitimate children is wrong(or letting them die due to your neglect), saying you killed then in the name of your specific flavor of sky monster does not excuse it.

If you add a number of ingredients to a recipe, then it is no longer the same recipe is it?

Lol the whole reason I commented in this thread in the first place was because you implied that the reason you wouldn't defend this is because you're not catholic. It seems to me that the only reason you said that was to get some poor schmuck (me) to reply to that so you could end with, I never said that blah blah. Conversation over.

I wonder how the apologists are going to spin this one?
Probably the same way the reply to everything else:
Don't generalize the mistakes (I bet "mistakes" it's the word they are gonna chose, I dunno why I just have a hunch)of a group of nuns to hate all Christians. We are a good institution to the world.
Also I couldn't open the link. I had to search the article by myself. Did anyone had this same problem?

I opened the link but I still had to search to find the article I was looking for once opened.
