Mmmhmm...That's why church attendance is about...what? 2-5% of self professed Christians in the UK?
LOL! And that's your research?
No, that's the official census as quoted by Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in...Attendance

It's not as if it's really shot up since, judging from the Church closures.
Sure, in Africa and Latin America where getting food can hinge on signing up to whatever creed the charity workers are pedaling the faith might be growing but most folks in Europe (couldn't speak for the US) are just generally pissed off with the Churches, the Catholic Church especially.

Do Christians know how to use google?
Do you think the changing demographic is not well documented?
Put this in your pipe and smoke it:
Quote:Over the past fifteen years, however, religion has once again declined. But this decline is much sharper than the decline of 1960s and 1970s. Church attendance and prayer is less frequent. The number of people with no religion is growing. Fewer people say that religion is an important part of their lives. All measures point to the same drop in religion: If the 1950s were another Great Awakening, this is the Great Decline.

Or how about:
Quote:But this week, a new global survey on faith and atheism has revealed that the crisis of faith in Ireland may be much worse than previously thought.
According to the poll released by WIN-Gallup International, the traditionally Catholic country has seen one of the steepest drops worldwide in religiosity.

Or how about an article on the decline of everyone's favorite haven for pedophiles, the Catholick Church:
Quote:Dutch bishops visiting Rome this week have given Pope Francis a dramatic snapshot of the steep decline of Roman Catholicism in its European heartland.
Both Catholic and Protestant Christian ranks have shrunk dramatically across Europe in recent decades, and hundreds of churches have been sold off to be turned into apartments, shops, bars or warehouses.
In the Netherlands, churches have been closing at a rate of one or two a week. The bishops told the pope in Rome on Monday that about two-thirds of all Roman Catholic churches in the Netherlands would have to be shut or sold by 2025, and many parishes merged, because congregations and finances were “in a long-term shrinking process”.
Can you read? Closing at a rate of one or two a WEEK. "Long-term shrinking process". Satan is lovin' it! Me too.
As an aside, the one time I visited Amsterdam, I had the privilege of drinking a beer in a former church; now a bar. I appreciated the irony will sipping a cool one.
And Ronadee, try this one

So you're saying that as we get less religion, we'll make more babies?
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Ronadee, you're even more of a dumbass than I previously imagined.
And that is saying something.
I'll take your non sequitur of a response as capitulation. Or improper upbringing. Or the mark of an uneducated savage.
Here's another on the decline of the Pedophile Cult:
Quote:Pope Benedict XVI, who announced Monday that he is stepping down from the papacy, has led the Roman Catholic Church during a time of turmoil and change for American Catholics. Nearly one-third of Americans who were raised Catholic no longer describe themselves as Catholics. Overall, American Catholic churches lost 5 percent of their membership during the last decade, and the decline would have been much steeper if not for the offsetting impact of Catholic immigrants from Latin America.

Good luck scraping funding from the third world where they are breeding like rabbits. It's Europe and the US that bankroll clerical operations.

I think that the bastards are just padding their stats with those people. They're "christian" in the same way that "god" is a brand of canned beans handed out by said "charity".

Pretty much, I mean just look at Santa Muerte in competition with Catholicism in Mexico.
Soon as the missionary efforts and the money starts to leave, the old religion (death worship) pops straight back up. Real deep inner conversion over there
