I'd have to agree with Leo on this Rhizo. It would be better to voice out your opinion within a reply. Man up and say what you want to say to that person, instead of ranking their post down.
And besides this, the admins would have to spend an hour in the database making sure everything is restored. When they could be doing more important things.

No, as Adrian pointed out already the thumbs up option is good because you are basically saying I agree, without the need of making a message which adds nothing more to the discussion.
Saying you disagree, that needs more justification then just a thumb down. Explain then why you disagree so others can see your point of view.

I think the thumbs down button would be fun if it didn't cause trouble. It's a shame if it probably would...
... I was about to say "it's things like this that makes me lose faith in humanity" (the fact something as simple as that could cause trouble) when I thought - "Wait! I don't have faith now do I?".
