I am grateful for all the feedback over this issue. One of the reasons I like his trivia format is that it also invovles hand/eye coordination. He uses the jeopardy format where you use a wireless buzzer to ring in and answer the questions before other people do. So it levels the playing field a bit, because even if you know the answer, the first person to ring in gets to answer and if they are correct, only they get the points. He did change the rules of the game, saying every team had to have at least 2 players.
In restrospect, the trivia company owner was very polite and respectful when he asked me not to go to his events. Perhaps I could have taken a sabbatical, yet I chose to defy him and keep going, albeit to random venues but still the ones where his company was hired.
His company has thrived though and he was expanded to 10 different locations over 5 nights of the week. It just stings, that he wants to ban me from ALL of them.
I do go to other trivia nights that other companies run and they are a lot harder to win, but it's probably safe to say I am one of the winningest trivia players in my county.
