Where are you getting this cube from?

I thought everyone knew the details of the fairy tale. It's specified in Revelation 21:10-27, specifically verse 16.

That is a misinterpretation, sure the bible gives the dimensions which seems like it would be a cube...

Revelation 21
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.

Except a pyramid has the same dimensions. Since the New Jerusalem is also known as Mount Zion the shape of the city is more likely a pyramid.

Isaiah 65:25

The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord.

Furthermore Jesus Christ was the chief corner stone rejected by the builders (represented by the great pyramid never receiving it capstone)

Mark 12:10
And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:

Ephesians 2:20

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

So New Jerusalem is actually a huge pyramid encompassing 1500 square miles

Interpretation.

The lulz.

Everything's ok when you can interpret something differently to how someone else interprets it.

Except I explained why his interpretation was wrong.

Furlongs? Whats this furlong business? Stadia friend, stadia. Your city is 1.9 million square miles at it's base and 1,379 miles high (that's right, the peak is in the exosphere, in space). I can only imagine what the mass on that city might be. To put that into perspective - it's roughly equivalent to 1/10th of north america. Talk about a planet killer.

An interesting fact about a literal New Jerusalem is that if you do the calculations, the top floors would extend above the existing earth's atmosphere (about 1500 miles). Kinda hard to breath in the penthouse suite.

It'd be kind of hard to breath anywhere if something that size descended out of the sky.

Plus, Huggy74 cannot do math. If the New Jerusalem is 1500 miles in any direction, then it has a footprint of 2.25 million square miles. That makes it just over half the size of the continental United States.

And these will, of course, be anyone other than you. Which is pretty much what every other self-identified Christian thinks.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Ref. Post #112: It actually seems like the writer is describing a ball instead of a cube or a pyramid. After all, if you play ball with the big guy he'll let you into his Egyptian pyramid even if you're a blockhead.
