We Told You So!

RE: We Told You So!
Obama's legacy will have been transforming a party that vehemently opposed torture and warrantless surveillance to one that defends an NSA aiming to "Collect It All" and targeted assassinations (since Obama vowed not to lock up "terrorists" and/or torture them without any charges, the only option is to kill them. Go figure).

You made it so.

No shit people don't like Obama. People don't like the ineptitude of the government, and since the Republican party has made it perfectly clear that as a rule they will oppose and stall and stop all governance in an effort to discredit and impede anything Obama does, America has continued to take a shit.

Shit in the well and claim victory when all you did is make yourselves look stupid, and alienate yourselves even further. It doesn't matter who the democrat is, republicans with try and make them look like the worst president ever. When Hillary wins in 2016, you'll do the same.

And you'll continue to lose elections. Have fun.

Who are you talking to, Steel? And I hope America isn't dumb enough to elect Hilary but if you're right, it will further show that we are closer to a monarchy, where money and family prestige buys the power of the Presidency.

Well if our choice is between Rand Paul, Mitt Romney, That Sanatorium moron, Marco Rubio or Chris Christie vs. Hillary Clinton, guess who is going to get the non-neocon vote. Again, this two party system sucks & the Citizens United ruling has pulled us even farther away from ever fixing it.

If the Democratic Party has any decency left, they'll nominate Elizabeth Warren over Clinton. But what am I saying? Of course they don't have any decency.

I'd vote for her in heartbeat. Wall St. is terrified of her. Shame she's stated she wasn't planning on running in 2016.

Of course plans change, but she may be able to do more good in Congress right now.

Continuation of Bush Doctrine, federal raids on marijuana dispensaries in states that allow medical pot, failure to close Guantanamo, no real oversight of Wall Street, no accountability for crimes committed by CIA or bankers under Bush, a shitty Republican heath care overhaul (his 'signature' achievement), a crackdown on journalism and whistleblowing, no apparent effort to 'change how Washington works,' those are the initial things that come to mind. I'm sure right-wingers have a completely different list of qualms.

So Obama is continuing a right wing doctrine (If I'm not mistaken Bush was a republican, he said all that bullshit about 'we are a nation under god') despite being a democrat? Sounds legit. Isn't he providing better healthcare with the Obamacare law?

Decency is too much to hope for; Warren will not get the nomination -- not in '16 anyway. However, I have to believe that there are people in the party who salivate at the thought of a Clinton/Warren ticket (with the added bonus of Bill Clinton's rhetorical skills in play). It would be the Republicans' worst nightmare, in more ways than one. Imagine being the schmuck tasked with devising that campaign strategy: how do you attack two strong, intelligent, accomplished women without risking alienating every independent voter in the country? Just try to win a general election with tax cuts and Benghazi.

A Clinton/Warren ticket would be interesting. Minus their obvious political and gender differences, I think it would be similar dynamics to Romney/Ryan, the face of the campaign a robotic shell of a person who knows nothing of struggle and will do anything to self-promote, and the side kick a perceived brainiac who actually does budgets.
