I love it when food stamps are misrepresented. I know them forwards and backwards. Grew up on em, until recently I was raising my kids with their help. You know, that for a family of mine's size - you can make 50k a year and still qualify? It's not because we're a generous and giving nation - it's because that's how fucking bad it's gotten round these parts. 50k a year isn't even expected to cover the cost of a healthy diet....in this country........they know, that at 50k..i'll have to make choices, sacrifices with my kids health...and they hope to collect taxes out of the little bastards someday - so they invest the bare minimum in them, voila - food stamps

If I understand the wording right, and I do, illegal immigrants can get food stamps for their legal children without having to provide their own immigrant status. It doesn't apply to the illegal immigrants themselves. You can't apply for food stamps without a social security number anyway.
