If the magical sky god depends on this he is not worth worshipping in the first place. So in reality if I'm sentenced to eternal damnation since I didn't make a stupid bet I still consider it worth it. At least I lived my life the way I wanted to. Screw the rest.

On what basis could I be led to believe that Christians are right? I know most of their mythology is factually incorrect (including the vast majority of the Jesus myth).

I wonder more about why people actually believe in Christianity then myself wondering if they're right. I re-think my positions all the time, but I doubt my internal equations will ever come up with god.

I been having a lot of these thoughts lately, but looks like everyone else is doing better than me. I didnt know it was possible to lose faith in atheism :S what should i do to make it go away? i know god is a jerk and christianity is false, but i still feel scared when i think about dying.

You have to question WHY virtually all people on earth do as much as they can NOT TO DIE. Why would an xtian go to a Doctor -= when death is supposed to be the glorious beginning? And why is the funeral mass a BLACK and Purple Mass - rather than a white and joyous occasion.?

Pope John Paul II died from a Urinary tract infection! Why don't all popes die simply of old age and then rise to a heaven bodily? Millions of "pious" people on earth prayed for his recovery - and yet -they ALL asked - but they did not receive.
Over the centuries - supposedly pious people of faith have prayed for the end to war -famine - disease - and lots of other individual worthy causes. How about praying that ALL children are born whole - without disease or impairment since THEY could not have done anything to deserve to be punished for. AND yet - we still have children born without limbs - with all manner of genetic diseases and others, mental impairments, and physical problems. WHY is that?

If there was only ONE creator - and that creator was supposed to be ALL GOOD - where did evil come from? - No other being has the power to create in a monotheism. The story does not make sense from the start - and all you need to do - if you are wavering - is to read the bible - from the first page - and if you are intelligent - you will get a good laugh!

When an xtian funeral mass is said - one of the prayers they recite is
"Eternal rest grant unto them and let perpetual light shine upon them"

Eternal rest sure does not seem like a new life after death.

We are all a part of the biological cycle of life on earth - and when we die -we will become again part of the earth - from which other life arise and eventually dies too.
