What the FLUFF!! Medical World!
Okay, so I have been trying to earn the respect of the doctors I work around. This is my third week, I should not be having this trouble!

So I saw a patient today, (38 of them?) any way last patient of the day we are so backed up, and I click the patients name in the system, type out this long ass report LONG LONG REPORT ICD Diagnostic codes fuuuuuuuck, click print, close out . . .

I pick up the paper for review when what do i see, NOT THE CORRECT PATIENT!

What THE FUCK!

I guess when I clicked the patients name it took me to the WRONG patient, like how does that even happen I had to re-do the entire damn report.

Oh and while working with this other doctor, I was speaking to a patient alone getting together a report on her medications, I ask her if she is on any ADDITIONAL medications she says "other than the ones you give me" I tell her yes other than those (i reported those), she says yes norco, so I write it down like a retard.

Doctor comes into the room PISSED, saying I wasted his time, he had to look for the additional medications, I was mind fucked at that point thinking "how the fuck, there must be some mistake" so I go back and ask AGAIN what other medication aside from the ones we give you, she then lists norco . . . and 15 other fucking medications!!

FUCKING SERIOUSLY, IS THIS A JOKE! WHAT THE HELL!

Welcome to the wonderful world of medicine.

It gets better, and worse, from here.

Doctors are overworked and stressed, usually.

Welcome to medicine and ignorant patients 'Sword.

Yes, patients are hard work.

Isn't Norco an opioid pain relief?

On a side note, just be thankful you don't have to attend my father.

Oh don't even get me started with that! Gave a prescription of Norco to a patient, and he threw a fit and told me he would not take them, he only wanted the YELLOW ones! Like I have any say over the dang color and the only reason they want yellow is because the street value is higher, same damn thing Confused Fall

I feel for you.
I work in the medical field but not as advanced as you.
I am a caregiver for an in home healthcare company so I know the bare-minimum. I pass medications; even the ones I don't even know how to pronounce!

One day, my patient pulled out his gtube and his stoma bursted into a mushy pile of organs and blood. The nurse expected me to know how to re-do his gtube and how to patch up his stoma...keep in mind, I don't even have my CNA license. She is still a bitch, I hate her and she hates me.

I can't say it gets any better from here, simply because for me, it has not. I wish you the best of luck!!!

HAHA that sucks, I was in the ER once and this guy came in by EMT, they said he was throwing up drunk, and complaining he threw up blood but they didn't see it.

No one believed him and the nurses all treated him poorly because they thought he was a drunk, I was sitting down across from him as he threw up so much blood I as a combat veteran almost got woozy, everywhere all over the floor, the bed, the clothes, wow 2 blood transfusions were needed. They took him seriously after he threw up the blood, man should have seen that hustle

talk about a "oooooh shit" moment

I can only imagine. Some people in the med field do not belong there. Some would rather think of any and all explanations, aside from the one it really is.

What pisses me off to now end is I have special equipment I use to monitor activity levels, sits on my desk, went to grab it for a patient today and where the FUCK is it! people take things and no one fesses up!
