whats your favorite bible verse?

I love this thread.
12. Deut. 25:11When two men are fighting and the wife of one of them intervenes to drag her husband clear of his opponent, if she puts out her hand and catches hold of the man by his privates, you must cut off her hand and show her no mercy. Lmao. Umm in the words of Tarteh, lolwut?
From the Latin version, a Jewish princess is kidnapped and about to be raped. When the man comes in to bed she rapes him with the sword.
Seriously. The word they use for "stab" in this context his a sexual connotation. It's supposed to be about how his own perverted desires are turned back on him but it's an interesting word choice.
"I permit no woman to teach or have authority over men; she is to keep silent." Timothy 2:11
Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you
Judges 19:29
29 When he reached home, he took a knife and cut up his concubine, limb by limb, into twelve parts and sent them into all the areas of Israel. RE: whats your favorite bible verse?

I like the one where Jesus suggests that anyone who stands in the way of indoctrinating children should have a large rock tied around their neck and be thrown into the sea. What a loving, rational, pacifist that guy was.
I forgot he also includes this bit of wisdom there as well: "If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell." Such a great man.

1 Peter 2:18:
Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the cruel. "Know your place, shut your face." -or- Judges 19:25-28 So the man took his concubine and sent her outside to them, and they raped her and abused her throughout the night, and at dawn they let her go. At daybreak the woman went back to the house where her master was staying, fell down at the door and lay there until daylight. When her master got up in the morning and opened the door of the house and stepped out to continue on his way, there lay his concubine, fallen in the doorway of the house, with her hands on the threshold. He said to her, ‘Get up; let’s go.’ But there was no answer. Then the man put her on his donkey and set out for home. "Man finds dead hooker on doorstep, calmly collects her body, goes about his business" -clearly the man had plans for her corpse.

I just wanted people to understand the "context"...lol. Wouldn't want anyone taking that story the wrong way, would we?
