There's a video that mentiones when Jesus said ask and it will be given to you. Not may be given. Not maybe Yahweh will say no. It will be given to you.
He also said plainly that he would be coming within the lifetimes of the people around him. Not soon as in some thousands of years later, but soon as in give up all your possessions because you're not going to need to plan for the future.
You christians have probably heard of this before, but I figured I'd put this up and see what you thought. I do believe that parts of the bible really can be proven false, yet christianity has continued through the ages. Mostly because not everyone could read when it started, and people have been committing mass murder on those that don't fall in line because their bible commands it.

While on the cross, Jesus did ask God why he had been forsaken, maybe Jesus had fallen out of favor ??
We all know how touchy God is, wouldn't surprise me one whit if Jesus had screwed up and got Himself disowned. Damn kids, always a disappointment to their folks.

There's so much confusion about biblical meaning.
Here's a good starting place.

Read through the link.....there's even more confusion there than we find in a straight reading of the text. Confusion compounded by confusion. I am disappoint.
I was hoping it was a link to some linguistics or cultural anthropology.

God's kids were always ticking him off so he killed all of them.
Deuteronomy 18:19 (ERV) = “The Lord saw this and became upset.
His sons and daughters made him angry!"

He got ticked off with some of the angels as well.

This the way I interpret these two comments Jesus made to his disciples:
As far as "ask and you will receive", he also said that to receive answers from prayer we must pray according to his will and pray in the in the name of Jesus. When you pray according to his will, you're saying that your desire is to do the will of God. If you pray that you can accomplish a difficult task, and it is God's will that you do so, he will give you the power to carry it out.
"The Son of Man coming on the clouds" is language used in the bible to speak of punishing acts carried out by God on kingdoms, cities, etc. I believe Jesus was speaking of God's coming wrath on the Jewish nation in AD 70, when Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans, and brought about the end of the Jewish sacrificial system.
These are my thoughts. If you search around, you can find different views than mine by prominent Christians.

The idea of just praying that god's will be done doesn't really make sense, unless he needs your prayers to help him do it. I'm quite sure Jesus said you'd get results if you asked for it. As he also said, what parent would give a child a rock when he asks for bread?
