Looking over the results to date on this poll it is interesting to see what god related questions most unite the atheists who post here at AF.org.

The #1 most consistent response concerned an afterlife. More of us chose L-2, I don't believe there is any continuance of 'self' beyond the grave, than any of other other sixteen choices. At the time of this post, the margin was 35 to 2 against belief in an afterlife. I suspect it would be possible for some theists to choose this answer as well. But there wouldn't be many I believe only those who self identify as atheist did so in this poll.
The #2 most consistent response concerned the non-theist vs a-theist question. By a wide margin, 31 to 11 at last count, people chose "B-3 I do not believe in gods" over "B-2 I believe that gods do not exist". Presumably, only those who identify as an atheist, chose either of those options. Good to keep in mind the next time we're told that positive belief that gods do not exist is the most common definition of atheism. In terms of what people who self identify as atheist, that simply is not true .. at least not among the people who post here.
The least consistent response would seem to involve the status of the 'supernatural'. At this time it is 22 to 22, S-2 "I don't believe in anything supernatural" vs S-3 "Everything is natural". It was available to choose more than one option but, not counting Insanity who chose all three including S-1 "I believe in some supernatural things", only three did choose both S-2 and S-3. I personally did not, but I very reasonably could have since both are true for me. It is only because I feel so much stronger that it is a failed category that I chose only S-3.
Thanks for the feedback everybody. (Hey, Cinjin. I keep expecting to get a L-1 pro afterlife vote from you.)
