That's how my pastor tried to explain it when I went to confession about it for the first (and only) time. Not only did I think it was weird for him to ask me about that sort of thing, but it also was one of the first signs for me as a kid that something was rotten in the state of Rome.
Luke: You don't believe in the Force, do you?

Han Solo: Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other, and I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen *anything* to make me believe that there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. 'Cause no mystical energy field controls *my* destiny. It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense.

Remember kids, God cares deeply about the state of your genitals.

And wants creepy old men to ask you about how often you touch them.

How do we all feel here about adjudicating juveniles as 'delinquent' for engaging in premarital sex ??

Teens are going to have sex. It's pretty much unavoidable with all the hormones flowing around 16 and 17 year olds. Instead of teaching them that it's wrong because...we say so, and then punishing them for it, we should try to educate them as much as possible on how to enjoy it safely and morally (i.e., full consent and such). Adjudicating against them just seems to screw up their views of sexuality more, not to mention slapping them with a record.

I believe there are supposed to be "Romeo and Juliet" laws that protect underaged teens who have sex from being charged as sex offenders for no logical reason. Sadly, Florida for instance is a ridiculous place, especially if you're gay:

It's been proven that abstinence only doesn't work. Education is the only practical way, short of surgery related solutions.

Not that anecdotal evidence is conclusive, but case in point: [Image: emyverad.jpg]
