You would care, atheist. I see it in your eyes, you care and you hurt and you love.
Its not that your dad doesn't love you. I believe its because he loves you that he says shit like that. I agree with Shaman.. the religion he has in his brain is blocking him from you. Its highly painful if you think about it, to think your child is lost forever. My dad is the same way :*( I just live every day the best I can to show him the way. I still offer my love, but I have to temper it with my sanity and his insanity. My best piece of advice to give is to focus on making yourself happy. Treat yourself the way you treat others, make every choice you make in a day to be the right one for you (like choosing water over beer or taking your medicine even when you don't want to), and treat others how you treat yourself. Protect yourself and Love, above religion.

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
