Practical Applications of Apologetic Logic

Practical Applications of Apologetic Logic
*Walks into a bank*

"Can I help you?"

"Yes, I'd like to withdraw one million dollars from my bank account."

"Um, sir, you don't even have an account with us."

"Is it possible that I might have an account with your bank?"

"No, I don't see you anywhere on..."

"Is it possible that in some alternate world I might have an account with your bank?"

"Well, sure but..."

"...and can we agree that if my hypothetical account had one million dollars in it, that would be a great thing?"

"Yes, it would be a great thing but..."

"...and to be a great thing, it must, by definition, exist."

"but that doesn't mean..."

"Are you suggesting that non-existent things can be great?"

"Well, I..."

"So since an account with a million dollars in it would be a great thing and since great things by definition exist, that means I have an account here with one million dollars in it."

"WHAT?"

"So I'd like to withdraw my one million dollars please."

*Gets thrown out of bank*

That's certainly how the conversations often feel.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Except when the fuckers get thrown out of the bank they complain about being persecuted.

RE: Practical Applications of Apologetic Logic
Not quite fair. They want the bank manager to believe he has a million dollar account too. Then together they can withdraw their million each and run for the boarder.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
