Does Russel Brand have any qualfications that would make his words carry more weight than the crack-head hobo down the street?

So thats a no to my question then?
My point being, that if I wanted to learn accurate information about what is going on out there, I would consult a professional with relevant qualifications, not some alcoholic celebrity with an opinion.

Did you get that? First off, you didn't even quote Arafat you just said he said - that's called hearsay. Secondly, Arafat wasn't a historian or for that matter a reliable source for the subject to begin with, so citing him ahead of middle-east historians is STUPIDITY.
Did you get that?
Quote:As I told you before, the term Palestine was laid on Israel by Rome to spite Israel.
Really? And I showed you a map (here's a link to the full version) clearly showing Palestine in 1895.
Quote:A mapmaker can call it that, but there NEVER was a sovereign nation there since Israel was destroyed by the Romans.
That's complete bullshit - it was a tiny and essentially economically invisible nation, but it was most certainly there as Historians not map-makers will tell you. Who the fuck do you think went to war with Israel? A bunch of Syrian lobbyists? They weren't even welcome in Syria dumb-ass, get your history right.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

But the same can be said for a lot of things. Technology and discovery are vital, but they too can be dangerous two edged swords when used for malevolent purposes.
Quote:Conversely, I believe that destabilisation is the result of such insularity. No man, or nation is an island.
That depends. National and individual identity doesn't usually equate to isolationism, especially on the world stage. A national destabilization is the result of a culture that has eroded, usually over a time, to internal turmoils or outside influences.

Christian persecution complex, nothing can be done I'm afraid.

Indeed. Identity preservation doesn't have to lead to annihilation. That's what I'm against.
Bad wolf had no argument apart from dismissing an opinion without reason. Nobody claimed expertise. I posted a video of an eloquent dismantling of some pretty horrific opinion broadcast by fox.
Now if bad wolf has any points to counter what has been actually said rather than dismissing the opinion because no qualifications have been cited, then I'm all ears.
I suppose we should likewise dismiss everything Richard Dawkins ever said on religion given his lack of knowledge of the subject?

Buddy, I dunno. You may want to address BW directly on that one.

Yes I had no argument, I wasn't arguing anything, dolt. Who's opinion was I dismissing? Yours or Russel Brands? If you mean Russel Brand, then dismissing his opinion would not be without reason.

And guess what, I didn't watch it. I was simply asking if he had any relevant qualifications on the matter to see if the video was actually worth watching.

You know absolutely nothing about my opinion on the matter. I know, because I haven't stated it and i'm pretty sure you aren't psychic.

Lack of knowledge is relative, so who is Dawkins less knowledgable then? An expert? What is an expert on religion? Do you get degrees in it? How do you get those? Learn about the history of religion? their practices?

Ha, Frodo doesn't do anything directly.

Crackhead hobo and alcoholic celebrity.
You never even watched it.
You motivation was based on a dislike for either Russell Brand or Frodo or both.
It's that obvious.
