Yeah, same here. I have to keep using the diminutive "Steve" so I don't have to explain "Steven with a v, not a ph" to prevent people from asking all the damn time. Curse these transatlantic spellings!

My Stephen spells his with a "ph" and has the opposite problem here in the States. He's forever trying to get the "v" out. "Phteven" reminds me of my niece who couldn't say "st" for the longest time, converting his name to "Uncle Sa-teven."

Didn't you know I've been banished! I'm on medical leave until next semester, I've told everyone I'll be fine but apparently once you fracture your skull no matter how small it's a legal liability to have me walking about campus. Sigh. No fair! So I guess I get a mini vacation.
