So, we're doing the right thing, and still get a slam? If we didn't do anything, would that merit praise?
Cheap laughs ain't worth much.
Let's see how the next election goes. You've got another big-mouthed dickhead running. Here is Texas' chance for vindication.
I'm not holding my breath.

Hey, nice dodge of my point.
Since you don't seem able to glean it, I'll make it plain: change comes slowly, and it isn't helped by supercilious catcalls and overbroad generalizations. Aren't you supposed to be rational?

Not when it comes to Texas...or Oklahoma or the Deep South. I'd like to see some evidence of this change you think you see.
It's not a dodge. It's just that I see no indication that Texas is making any progress at all.
Feel free to point some out...if you have any.

Texas is making much more progress than Arizona.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Maybe he was just trying to shore up his base?

Even if he isn't guilty of anything, and I personally think he is, I also think that any political career he might have had has just gotten a huge, steaming dump taken on it.
Luke: You don't believe in the Force, do you?
Han Solo: Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other, and I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen *anything* to make me believe that there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. 'Cause no mystical energy field controls *my* destiny. It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense.

How many Americans would actually pay attention to this story?

Now that he is a national figure, probably far more than would have 5 years ago.

I'd say trying to reign in your elected dickhead is laudable for sure. Your state gets slammed for having so many dickhead-leaning voters. But you and this prosecutor are bright lights who deserve everyone's appreciation.
