Our PC is slow and a bit primitive by western standards.
One of our laptops can't charge (broken), the other has a blue screen (I accidentally stopped in the middle of installing something important)
Well, then you're kinda stuck when it comes to strategy games. Consoles do action and racing better.

I had an interest in archaeology before I played Tomb Raider.
But playing Fallout reinforces my desire to nuke parts of the world. Does that count?

Bioshock: It really spoke to me and made me a libertarian.
Ever since I played Bioshock (1), I've wanted to do an in-depth analysis of Andrew Ryan, just for kicks. He's a pretty interesting sort of guy.
I personally think he's my favorite villain ever written. He's also a complete headcase so have fun!

I think it was more the other way round for me. My interest in guns, war and the history of both is a big part of why I enjoy shooters.

I like rpgs with rich stories the same way I like fantasy novels with rich content. It might inspire me but I've always been drawn to those types of world's and tales. So for me it is the opposite way around, except in the case of Dynasty Warriors and Dynasty Tactics.... That really inspired me to study and learn more and more about China's Three Kingdom era.
