At least they would have been opposed by the Democrats. Obama was given free reign to be a war criminal early on among many other BS moves on his part that were not challenged until the progressives started to win seats.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

What we also would have had is a Supreme Court with seven conservatives on it. Everything would suck much worse and there really wouldn't be any hope of it getting better. As for whatever opposition Democrats might have offered in this scenario, we all saw eleven years ago what good that does.

The really terrifying thing is that Obama might have just meekly gone along with a lot of what conservatives want, if they didn't let their racism and complete aversion to any expression of human empathy override all of their other agendas.

Listen Up Democrats!
I share your fear of republicans. But the democrats are still not to be trusted. The only thing that separates the two puppets is the visibility of their strings. The hidden hand is showing in the republican party. The democrats just do a little song and dance about how corruption. But they are still at the mercy of the strings pulling them around.

I live in California. Those crooks don't even bother campaigning here. All they want to do is raise money here. Please tell me why I should vote for a puppet if my state has already been claimed.

Actually there is quite a bit of difference between the two. The republicans would get us into more wars, would be a disaster in creating jobs (the fantasy that the rich create jobs), They would pretty much toast the economy by increasing the gap between the rich and the poor.

The democrats understand that they need to create jobs. Unfortunately their good sense is modified by their corporate contributions. but their sense and heart is in the right place enough to actually benefit the country in a positive direction.

I live in California and thought the Democrats here were Republicans based on how evil they acted.

Jobs actually grew in the Republican-dominated sectors...then again, these were the same companies that did most of the lay-offs in 2008.

Uhmmm. Have you heard what Hillary and Kerry have to say about Putin? Do you remember that bullshit about Assad and funding the rebels(AKA ISIS).

Hillary and Obama for all their tough talk about the crooks on wall street, are yet to turn down their checks. Like I said they only care for a top down economy. It's the old Xanatos Gambit.

RE: 2016 Prediction
Never said they turn down their checks, but the contributors generally agree with her viewpoint. Democrats for example know we need to increase minimum wage. The republicans would continue if not eliminate minimum wage. Democrats support unions to help employees have a voice in their work place. Republicans think that workers should be paid less with no power at all

Democrats support regulations. Republicans would let company's pollute all they want. The market place in their opinion would be self regulating.

Democrats understands that climate change is a serious issue. Republicans would if possible speed up climate change in their ignorance and self righteousness.

If republicans are in power, the courts will further move to the right creating even more years of disastrous decision making giving more power to corporations while democrats would choose judges that follow the law.

I can go on and on about the differences.

As to Hillary going to war? Possibly, but she isn't dumb enough to go to war with Russia over Ukraine. Republicans would.

RE: 2016 Prediction
A metaphor for my reasoning is such:

I have blocked arteries, and I am in danger because of it. The doctor tells me that he wants to perform surgery to fix it, but doing so will leave me weakened and in pain for a long time. It will be very unpleasant, and it's certainly not a perfect procedure, but it's the best they can do.

What options do I have?

1. Go for the surgery, accept the risks and deal with the aftereffects. (vote Democrat)
2. Do nothing and hope it magically gets better on my own. (vote for a doomed candidate or abstain)
3. Swallow buckets of lard, in the extremely dumb hope that doing a lot more of what caused my problem in the first place will somehow make it better (if this doesn't describe Republican policies in general, what does?)

That's why I'd vote for Hillary, even though she's obviously not my candidate of choice.

She's not very durable, is she? Didn't she have health problems with all the travel?

Actually, there's a good point here. All candidates for public office should have to prove that they're physically and mentally capable.

Is nobody computing the freedom you have if you don't live in a swing state? I know we'll never get a Green president, but we can scare the bullshit out of the democrats, by voting for whoever the hell we want in uncontested states. The red states did that back in '10.
