fundies and your interests

So I believe that the religious (especially fundies) fudge down everyone's interests.

For me there's:

linguistics:
1 - They say that Arabic is the origin of all languages.
2 - Some idiot said that Libyan Berber is a dialect of Arabic, and it's closest relative is mehri (how did he know about the existence of mehri). For a language geek this is blasphemy.
3 - I shouldn't learn Hebrew.
4 - learning any language othe than Classical Arabic (a dead language) is useless.

Mythology:
A kid told me that I should stop this, and learn about my god Allah. I replied sarcastically that I know him and that he is the greatest and the only god there is. I was still religious.
I don't know much about mythology because of this
