I was interested in Islam for quite some time and explored it. I learned a lot about it and stayed on various Islamic forums for quite some time. I thought I converted but I doubted it from the get go. I was a Muslim for like a week and just quit because I found it to be shit.
But I retained my interest in Islamic art, culture and philosophy.
Islam made me an atheist I would say

The Baha'i Faith did that for me. It was my last attempt to stay a theist after the bad experience of Catholicism, and it wasn't for me.

I considered the Baha'i Faith for like 2 hours, sent an email for some questions on their site and that was it. Baha'i came from Shi'iyyah and I just wanted something close to Islam. Last religious affiliation I tried was paganism and that was not to bad.
I am actually very fond of paganism and it's ability to not kill every fucker in a 4,000 mile radius.
Being religious has just never clicked with me since I was young. I have no issues with religious ritualism or any of that.
I am perhaps one of the few people who can pray to a god and sincerely know that such a being does not exist

That's one negative aspect of atheism.
We don't believe gods exists, so to feel important we fantasize about the gods instead!

Just looking at an image like this I just don't see how Krishna cannot be a raging homo/bisexual. Total gender bender.
This has been my issue for many years as an atheist. The gods do not exist and are purely fiction but just because something is fiction does not mean it is worthless. Gotta do something with it.
