Can you answer the question imposed 14 pages back, in post number 3?
What effect will it have on your world view should the prophecy fail to come true?

That Day will come as a trap on all the world

Is there anyone here who doesn't think the answer will be a tarted up version of "I will refract the facts through a prism of conspiracies and presuppositional interpretation until I can conclude with the statement 'I was correct, and my god definitely exists.'"?

No, but I like to hear the description of his immovable insensibility in his own elegant phrasing so I can added it to my signature line.
Personally, I can't wait for this rapture. The world will be a lot better without all the Christians pissing us all off. Not to mention, when there's finally proof over which religion is the 'real' religion, all this religious/political fighting that has been killing people for thousands of years will end.
Sadly, it won't be happening. After all, a book of mythology with a dubious record in the past isn't exactly what I would call a reliable source of information on the future.

And even when it fails think how much fun it will be watching them trip on their dicks making excuses for why 'god' fucked them over again! But what Jesus meant by seeing the kingdom of god is far from obviously the transfiguration on the mount with Moses and Elijah. The Christians in the middle ages certainly didn't think so. Hence the myth of the wandering Jew, still alive and waiting for the second coming. The day being equivalent to a thousand years is absurd. What apologists will say with a straight face never ceases to amaze me.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
