They all boast high numbers of adherents to a particular "religion of peace."

Australia has laws against atheism and New Zealand has prison time for it? I find that hard to believe those are legit 1st world countries with modern values. I just don't believe this survey, tbh.

You can have all sorts of odd laws still on the books from many decades ago. Usually they're either superceded by later laws, or simply not enforced.

Many of the countries have odd laws that never been appealed. The countries still living in the stone age are the middle east ones. They do enforce those laws. I am normally quiet about my beliefs in many of those countries. Hell most of my colleagues are in the dark. I just allow them to spout their religious craze and move on.

U.A.E. ? That's kind of weird to hear, considering how liberal it is over there.

UAE is not liberal at all. They put up with it in the tourist areas, but be careful! They do have the though police, and many sharia laws do apply to tourist.

During the financial collapse, many foreigners left the country in the a hurry, because financial sharia laws are horrible.

I mean liberal for the middle east of course. Suppose I could have clarified.

Yeah, no! They will still lock you up. I hate the image they are trying to portray of themselves. Been there too many times. They proclaim there is no crime, but you can be robbed, and if the person robbing you is a Muslim, then you are shit out of luck. Fuck that place!

I admit U.A.E. isn't a great place to be, they have Anti-Atheist laws but, Calm down dude, it can't be worse than the rest of the middle east. Especially being #40 on the GPI where as the rest of the middle east are in the #100s.
