Evolution V Creation

Evolution V Creation
I have yet to see this debate on this Forum(correct me if I'm wrong).

And it is my pet peeve, especially when I visit sites like Answersingenesis and the like.

And their unbelievable mental gymnastics to get the evidence to conform to the Bible.

So people, post as to what you believe and why.

Not quite certain of what you mean :S Is this only for theists? or what? :S

In any case, i am deeply against 'creation myths', and you'll be hard-pressed to find many here who don't fully believe in evolution...

But what are you asking, really? :S

I believe I will have another chocolate milk so I chose "something else".

I do not believe in evolution, I accept that evolution is well established scientific fact, and that the Theory of Evolution through natural selection is at the moment the best plausible explanation to its workings.

Wouldn't that be belief in evolution? Accepting the truth of something = believing it... otherwise you are not actually accepting it to be true... Smile

Or do you doubt that it happens? :S I can't see any rational doubt to it's happening... but if you were referring to the fact that science is constantly updating with new information and better theories: then by all means i agree.

I'm a little lost as to the OP's question :S

I am not saying it is true, I am saying it is currently the best explanation.

Ahhh... I totally agree then Smile

Although i would hope that you believe it's true, what with all of the evidence for it... Tongue That you accept that it might possibly be not true is just being honest Smile

Hmmmm,

I was mainly interested to see what the theists on this forum thought. i.e did they believe in God but
rejected the biblical creation

But decided to open it up to everyone and start a good debate similar to the one I

engaged in on a motorcycle forum.

So what evidence of this "something else" do you have leo? Do you mean that the current theory will change to adapt to new data, or that it will be thrown out completely?
