Oh, we can't do that. They're endangered.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Oh, I see what you mean now - I thought it was a typo!

That's a very good question Lek and my answer is - yes absolutely (read my old posts here on AF).
Quote:As far as reading the bible goes, it takes a lot more than a reading to understand ancient writings.
Rubbish. That's what the Roman Catholic Church said in order to control the supply of the written Bible and what lead to the pre-reformation movements.

I can partially read Greek (self-taught), can you? Greek I'll agree with you is an extremely expressive language - Hebrew on the other hand is a very primitive written language. Certainly much more primitive than Greek, and this should be obvious because there are literally thousands of ancient Egyptian writings and Greek writings alike that pre-date any Hebrew writings ever found - Hebrew wasn't used by as many people in writing, nor was it used for a very long time, and that's why it's so primitive.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

"That's disgusting. There were clean athletes out there that have had their whole careers ruined by people like Lance Armstrong who just bended thoughts to fit their circumstances. He didn't look up cheating because he wanted to stop, he wanted to justify what he was doing and to keep that continuing on." - Nicole Cooke

My guess is that these people have never read their own damn holy book but are going by what someone else has told them. Slaves could be beaten as long as they waited until three days to die

I am at my phone so can't link to the corresponding verses but in Deuteronomy a man could marry his war captive as long as he gave her a month to mourn her family that he probably slaughtered in front of her. I notice a lot of bible apologists act as if that verse doesn't exist

Also, the people weren't just beaten by the bears, they were mauled. Beating someone up for calling you a name is stupid but killing them is even worse.

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom
