How original I prefer the "Beauty, therefore god" version. I also like how they never consider that what is beautiful and lovely to one, might also be hateful and ugly to another.

Take for example love. Love is amazing in itself, but, when you give it a divine origin, it becomes more special. That is love is something that came down from God's very essence and speaks a language that is eternal.
The mystifying nature of love is one of the reasons I believe in God. When I think of love, I see it as something more then this world. It's eternal, it's majestic, it's holy and sacred.
One of the PCAs when I was leaving the hospital shed tears as she said goodbye, and I feel as much as evolution can account for the special wonderful feeling of love, I feel that there is something I appreciate more then that, I see something divine and eternal in her tears. It's this where it can be said the divine is apparent. Love itself is from the divine and is of his essence brought down.
Love is something more then the physical universe.

Love is incredibly important, and overshadowed currently in our twisted world. We all need to take it back. Doesn't matter what you believe. Just coz theists express it one way doesn't mean we should be fighting over it. We're an amazing selfless animal and some freakish situation has arisen where a tiny percentage of people are screwing the rest of us.

Kind of like the Grand Canyon or the Mona Lisa? Wait those are natural.

And I would vote for bacon therefore God.

In any case, the notion that there is more to us than meets the eye is not limited to theists or theism.
You see god in an awful lot of things? How does that work, what with our eyes not even being able to decipher a human being?

To say that love comes from the divine and that we humans some how wont be able to possess this feeling is wrong. As the other have stated, how do you account for hate? It must be from the same divinity. These are natural processes that occur in our brain.

'It's undoubtedly true that money can't but love. But by jaysus, it can buy you something that looks and acts a whole lot LIKE love.' - Dave Allen.
Love isn't mysterious, it isn't mystical, it isn't divine - it is biological. To posit a divine origin for love is no different than any other manifestation of the argument from ignorance.

Seriously ?
I'm not believer in God but I still think that there is something more to humans than meets the eye. Eye is a poor instrument after all, and so is the mind.
But why limit this view of yours to a humans only ? Why the need to feel so special and unique and apart from everything else ?
Seriously, I do not get that ...

Said who, you ?
No, I firmly believe that love was and it always will overshadow everything, probably more now then ever, its just too boring of the subject for the evening news...
Oh, and yes, world is doing just fine, it is no more or less twisted then it was 100, 1000, or 10000 years ago.
The only difference is that information now travels with the speed of light and that terrible things some people do cannot be hidden from the rest of us or be swept under the carpet by those in power as easy as before.
Lighten up short stuff, world is doing just fine
