If God wanted everyone to know He exists... He could have wrote his name on the side of the moon. But He wanted to keep us guessing so he made the moon the same apparent size as the sun.

If god doesn't want me to know about it, then why do christians and muslims and jews and hindus and all others keep telling me about their gods?

God itself doesn't care, so you people just leave me alone!

@Chad:

Our natural inclinations are a decent general approximate guide, but we cannot rely on it alone. At some point we have to assess reality on its own terms instead of applying onto it our own personal beliefs and biases of how we might prefer it to work. At some point, natural inclinations however cherished must give way to evidence, where the two are in conflict.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

What are the odds the sun and the moon would appear to be the same apparent size at the exact same time intelligent beings would exist to appreciate it?

I used to think it astronomical and maybe it still is....but I now know things about solar system formation that suggest to me that perhaps its not such a long shot after all.

Really? The "What are the odds" argument? I dunno what the odds are, you tell me since you're using that as your argument.

Well that gives "man in the moon" an entirely new meaning...

It is astronomical. That's the whole point. What significance do you think it has?

Slartibartfast wrote his signature into the fjords of Norway. I imagine that if God exists we might see his signature or mark somewhere too.

Is it a good argument for God? Of course not....Just something to think about.

They are not of the same apparent size most of the time. Through the variation of the orbits of the earth around the sun and that of the moon around the earth, there is considerable variation combining to maybe 15% change of the apparent relative sizes. This increases the odds that there can be an exclipse.

But what's your argument anyways?

You have annular and ocular eclipses that make it easy to see that yes there arn't always exactly the same apparent size. Still when I gaze up at the sky...they always have seemed the same size to me.
