Psychotic Break
#21
RE: Psychotic Break
I highly highly doubt it counts. But I don't rule it out - I AM agnostic after all Wink

I have never taken any recreational drugs besides alcohol (in VERY small qualites... hardly ever... like less than a glass a month or something lol).

I have never smoked anything at all either... neither nicotine nor pot nor whatever.

Doubly so if you were a Roman Catholic, a lot of Christian denominations consider Roman Catholicism the "loony tunes" version of Christianity.

The Catholics have a far less charitable view of anyone who is not CatholicCool Shades

'Roman Catholics' live in Rome. [so I was taught] Officially I was an Australian Catholic, but in reality I was a working-class-bog-Irish-Catholic.

Irish Catholicism is arguably the most pig ignorant, superstitious, bigoted and hateful form of that pernicious religion ever invented.

Tangent; In the 1950's there was one Catholic priest for every 260 people in Ireland. They sent the worst mental defects, drunks, sadists and child molestors to Australia and America..

I tried to kill myself once, I think that's psychotic.

I will have to tread lightly when I meet my country men. Once I visit my relatives in Belfast, Longford, and Sligo.

I always do that. My sleeping pattern is fucked and so I don't do things at a specific time (having no responsibilities is great) instead I start my morning routine whenever I wake up.

None of the Irish people I know are religious - maybe you'll meet atheists. Tongue

I've never had a psychotic break, but I currently suffer from anxiety and depression. I've started cognitive behavioural therapy and I'm taking prozac (I also self-medicate with cannabis). I'm just putting it down to adolescence and hoping it'll go soon. I doubt it'll result in a pyschotic break, but I'm rather curious about what it'll be like if it does.

Uh Nova, I had posted this: I will have to tread lightly when I meet my country men. Once I visit my relatives in Belfast, Longford, and Sligo. Padraic did not, I was replying to what he posted.

Most of my relative are roman catholic. I may be able to meet atheist when I am in Ireland, but most likely not. I may plan to go to England as well, and meet a fair share of atheists there. Smile

Quote:Oh the fun. I miss those years.

A good friend was a psych nurse at the local mental hospital, which he called 'The Bin'. He was alone on duty one night when one inmate killed another. He managed to get everyone locked in before dealing with a bloke who complained pitifully, saying "I think I broke my thumb when I strangled that girl" (he had)

I had trouble understanding the idea of 'folie a deux'.Then one night I went to a party where most of of the people were psych nurses. Confused Fall

Not at all.

Few people who attempt suicide are psychotic. I'm so sorry you were in that much pain.
