RE: Non religious theists?
Haha listen to you lot ...like a gaggle of old grannies Big Grin

Evie stated that members of a religion shouldn't be worried about the connotations of the word 'religious' ...so I said conversely, he shouldn't worry about the connotation of atheism that it's a religion bother atheists... and you all nicely chip in to prove the point!

I don't worry about any such connotation because it's laughable. But as I already said - whether I worry or not doesn't change the definition... which was my whole point when it came to the definition of 'religious'.

You have again failed to give any rationale as to why atheism is a religion.

We do not believe in a god or gods this is not a faith position.

I just dont believe in things without evidence.

How is that in way shape or form religious?

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

If atheism is a religion then it must also follow that a lack of belief in those old favourites such as the tooth fairy, Father Christmas and leprechauns is also a religion.

Atheism is simply the lack of belief in a god or gods, nothing else!

If atheism is a religion, then bald is a hair color and not collecting stamps is considered a hobby.
