Well, when you value what you pass along you don't think of it as indoctrination. We all indoctrinate our kids in the ways we think important. I even indoctrinate other people's kids. I indoctrinate my dog too. Meh.

Disagree. Some excel at being destructive while others are merely put to that purpose on an optional basis. Scientology is far, far worse than others and actively breaks up families and holds young children to agreements they are coerced into at an early age. They are probably the number one most exceptionally bad religion.

If a religion legitimately promotes peace, and there are no commandments to kill people who aren't in the group, it's better than the Abrahamic religions.
Christianity wanted to attempt a peaceful religion, but it failed. Partly because it attached itsself to the Torah, which was decidedly unpeaceful, and partly because it introduced being tortured for eternity to help motivate conversions.

Most importantly because of political reasons. When they sucked up to the Roman emperor, they had to throw their pacifism overboards, which was present in early christian writings.
The bible as we know it today has been compiled in the late 4th century, when Christianity was established as the Roman state religion and started to have real political power.

I judge religions by the harm they do. So at the moment Islam seems to be the worst. All religions can cause harm though given the right impetus.

At best, 39,999 out of 40,000 Christian denominations will also fail to provide salvation and deliverance from ETERNAL torment to their members.
Clearly, the One True Faith would be better than all the others, the problem being, no one knows which one it is.

If there is one religion that taught acceptance and only love and not the systematic killing of people and a truly caring deity and the exclusion that everyone is a sinner. then yes i would vouch for it.

The best religion is a dead religion. The others are just "less bad" than one another in certain aspects, while being worse in others.

Why settle for normal, when you can be so much more? Why settle for something, when you can have everything?

I guess Wicca is pretty cool. I think. I don't know a lot about it but it seems better to me.

It's pretty fun. I had a try on it when I was in my twens. But it's not really a religion. At least that's not how I experienced it. And it's not judgmental.
