I gave it.

I do not need to list failed experiments.
They all failed. They all hit the wall.

Your favored scientists generally by-pass their failures, and trumpet their supposed findings.
Funding must be maintained and ballyhooing flubs do not advance it.

I really did not intend for this to be another Creation/ Evolution ride.

You've got a rather warped understanding how science operates. Failures are the bedrock of scientific achievement. It's the way we find out how things work.

But I see your point about how funding must be maintained. Biologists have all those 50 room mansions to maintain and gangs of servants to feed.

Indeed scientist recently ran a simple but ingenous experiment that with little work me or you could do ourselves. The result was a change in "Kind" from a bacterium, in this case everyday bakers yeast, to a multicellar prokaryote.
