LOL, you say that as if I'm already gone, but causing a spectacular fuss on the way out!

I don't intend to cause any trouble and hope to avoid any. Truth be told, I mentioned it up front in the hopes that people would understand me a little bit beforehand, not because I expect there to be any problems, but in the hopes that it would help avoid any. I really can come off sounding like a smug ass sometimes, but it's not a "holier than thou" (yeah, I used it!) attitude or in any way intentional. I hear the sentences in my head as I'm typing and the voice inflection is there, so I really just don't see it when I'm typing and it comes out like I'm a smug prick. In my head as I'm typing, that's not how it sounds. But I freely admit I do come off that way sometimes.

Anyway, I'm hoping if you expect me to be a prick to begin with you'll be a little more forgiving when it comes off that way and understand that's not what I meant. I usually have no problem admitting when I'm wrong. Well, it can be a little tough, but I try to look at things objectively and admit, first to myself, then to anyone else involved when I'm wrong. I always say it's better to lose an argument because the winner doesn't learn anything.

I didn't mean it like that bro. I just meant, there'll no doubt be someone who takes what you say out of context or misunderstand you. Shit happens even to the most well known of us around here Big Grin

Welcome.

You don't know the half of it. If I had had any idea what that place did to my mind a good psychiatrist could have saved me about 10 years of misery afterward.

RE: Introductions
Thanks, all, for the warm welcome. Hopefully I'll find inspiration in the posts on this board and respond with something intelligent and insightful. Or, maybe I'll be the dumb one in this crowd and I'll look like an idiot. I recognize some of the names. My memory is not great, but I think I really liked some of them on the last board I was on. Unfortunately I seem to remember some of them being smarter than me, which...yeah...kind of pisses me off a little...
