MERGED: The Case for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ (Part 1) & (Part 2)

That is your false assertion.

(December 20, 2014 at 1:56 pm)DeistPaladin Wrote: No, they don't. See my scripture quotations from an earlier post.

See my response from an earlier post.

(December 20, 2014 at 1:56 pm)DeistPaladin Wrote: No, it doesn't.

My wife and I have much in common. The fact that we share many similar personality features, as well as biological features since we're both human beings, doesn't mean we're the same person.

Nor is it the argument that you and your wife is the same person. You both are human, right? You both have human nature, right? How many human natures do you have? One, or two? The answer is ONE...there is only one human nature that you both have, but you are two different people, right?

One human nature shared by two people, right??

The same thing with the Trinity..one divine nature shared by three persons.

(December 20, 2014 at 1:56 pm)DeistPaladin Wrote: So "God" is a title? Like "president" or "prime minister"?

Or is "God" an essence?

Or is "God" a head?

These goalposts are moving so fast, I can't keep up.

It is a title.

(December 20, 2014 at 1:56 pm)DeistPaladin Wrote: The five year old little girl who's being raped right now, who is about to be killed by the monster attacking her, will be relieved that there's a "good reason" for all this happening. So will the grieving family. The village being flooded by a tsunami, with infants being drowned in their cribs and mothers having their babies torn from their arms by the force of the waters, will all be relieved to know it happens for "a good reason".

Your god watched from Heaven as Christian leaders through history have committed unspeakable crimes, torturing and murdering in their crusades, inquisitions and witch burnings, all in his name and he did nothing to stop it. I'm sure there was a "good reason".

Do tell. Let's hear these "good reasons". Your god is on trial.

Now we are getting more deep into the subject of morality, save this for another post.

(December 20, 2014 at 1:56 pm)DeistPaladin Wrote: True but while all answers are "responses", not all responses are "answers".

Well, that just about sums up my entire tenure here.

(December 20, 2014 at 1:56 pm)DeistPaladin Wrote: You've utterly failed to answer my objections.

Welcome to the party.

(December 20, 2014 at 1:56 pm)DeistPaladin Wrote: Yes, we do. Jesus makes it clear his father is greater than him.

I've already explained why that is the case and you've yet to respond to that.

(December 20, 2014 at 1:56 pm)DeistPaladin Wrote: [quote='The Bible']John 14:28 “You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

The Father BECAME greater than Jesus only after Jesus lowered himself and became subjected to the Father, as the good ole scriptures indicates in Phil 2:9-11.

And also, the good ole basketball example I used in terms of the Father taking the form of a man to play a friendly game of organized basketball, a point of which the Father would be subjected to the coach and rules of the game all while maintaining his Godship.

I gave the example at least three times and you didn't respond to the shit...I mean, it aint the best analogy in the world but you can at least address it instead of blatantly ignoring it and then typing the same crap as if it hasn't been addressed yet.

(December 20, 2014 at 1:56 pm)DeistPaladin Wrote: The burden of proof is not on me. You haven't even coherently explained the Trinity much less offered any reason to believe it.

If you don't understand how the nature/title of God can be applied to three persons, then I can't help you.

(December 20, 2014 at 1:56 pm)DeistPaladin Wrote: That would make you three separate gods.

Shared traits do not mean you are the same being.

The concept isn't that they share the same being. See, that right there just shows you don't even understand the concept.

If the Father is standing 50 feet to your left, the Son 50 feet in front of you, and the Holy Spirit 50 feet to your right...you see three individuals, right? Three separate beings...and all three of these beings share the same EQUAL essence of "God".

Now what part of that don't you understand??

(December 20, 2014 at 1:56 pm)DeistPaladin Wrote: No but we do know that the brain is involved.

If you don't know how it originated how in the hell do you know that the brain is involved? Makes no sense...and not only that, but consciousness can't come from the brain...if the brain came before consciousness, then what is the mechanism within the brain that will get you from unconsciousness, to consciousness??

(December 20, 2014 at 1:56 pm)DeistPaladin Wrote: Hormones have no brain. They don't act in any way that indicates conscious will. There is no reason to think they are people.

Straw man.

Nah, we ain't forgetting...we already have three, and as the late John Ritter will tell you, Three is Company.

Yes. By additional science. Dodgy

Weeding the ideas that don't reflect reality out from the ones that do is kinda the whole point of the scientific method, you know. It's literally the only thing it's for, you can't then point to it like it's some failing of science. It is science.

Have I missed something? Have I been in a coma, and writing was abolished and all human communication is now based on youtube links? Cool!

So "god" is three distinct individuals like we are individual people.
I think the correct term for this is "gods" plural.
