I haven't seen that movie either, I just read the plot synopsis on wikipedia though and ha! What's the message? Stay in your safe boring job and don't try to actually live your life? It's better to be comfortable than adventurous? I mean, if you have basic budgeting skills (and don't waste money on something stupid like gambling) it's so easy to live on the road for cheaper than you can live in an apartment for sure.

I don't doubt that this is true, and of course quality of life is in the eye of the beholder.

I'm curious, though - do you have any plans for what you'll do if/when you become too old or infirm to continue your vagabond lifestyle, and what happens if you get a serious, life-threatening illness or injury? I'm genuinely curious.

I mean I have a college degree (whatever that is worth) I also have pretty good sources of income, I just choose to only use them for a couple months out of the year and I have plans. So it's not like I'm some hobo with no job skills or anything. I'm just front ending my retirement, so to speak. What's the point of retiring when years of either abuse from a blue color job or inactivity from a white color job have broken your body? Also I'm far more fit than your average person largely because of my lifestyle, which reduces my chance of injury or illness. That's really not an issue that is specific to me I don't think. What is an office worker going to do if he gets cancer? Probably the same thing as me.
