The nearest thing I have to a religious belief is that maybe I'm the only real one here, and this is all some kind of weird test, punishment, or amusement for whoever is doing it to me.
I don't know if that would count as religious. And I don't have any good reason to believe it's true, other than the absurdity of life. It's also of no consequence to what I perceive as reality, so I don't give it any serious thought.
I guess it's just the problem of hard solipsism.

I always figured if solipsism were true, then I'm some sort of masochist. I agree completely.
I reject your reality and substitute my own!

I think god will disappear long before religion does.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Religion, unfortunately, will always be existent. Human's crave the supernatural.

The only way for religion to truly go away is the day humanity doesn't exist.
Sure i can see atheists being a majority one day while theists being the minority.
There will always be ignorance lingering in a crowd of people, its just that one person
wants to convert and corrupt others beliefs. So in the future religion may become dangerous
as well you know how ISIS is trying to spread a message.
