Is anyone else as tickled as I am by the notion that slavery might be...somehow...better or worse by virtue of it being the "biblical" kind?
I'm glad that some demographics are dying off.....I hope they don't linger too long.

The whole "Slavery is okay" thing is kind of a discussion killer. How the hell are we supposed to take a discussion on morality seriously when one party in the discussion accepts that?

If you want to see a perfect example of why Christianity is so offensive, one needs to look no further than Drippy's posts in this very thread.
His belief in the absurdities in the Bible has got him to loose his moral compass, where he's justifying slavery. He'll also justify the genocidal behavior of his god as depicted in the OT.
So sad...
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
