You poor thing, you do love your clinical life don't you ?. What is love to you, just chemicals in the brain, come on life is more than just intellectual knowledge, there's so much that can never be known, its all a mystery, religion, can be a way of see the world that we cannot know metaphorically. Why are you so angry with religion, I know much of religion can be a pain in the butt, but don't go throwing the baby out with the bath water.

But we are talking more about the concept of god, and this is what I am saying, there is something bigger than any of us will ever know, we are just a speck of dust on a speck called a planet, and here we are thinking we know so much abou8t what is out there. This mystery is what I call God, or Super Consciousness, or whatever name. We are a programmed mind body organism,
No, our brains is a self-learning circuitry that can go beyond our instictual behaviors. Our basic insticts are the only programming we come with, the rest we are self taught.
Quote:we can only know what we are programmed to know,
Prove it.
Quote:like other animals they are programmed in a way that we could never understand,
Also, prove this claim as well.
Quote:but still we put labels onto what we think they know. We have our five senses to feel our way through this life, and only through those senses can we understand this life, but this life is beyond our senses, and we will never know all there is.
What does it mean to say "life is beyond our senses?" Do you mean we cannot feel, touch, smell, hear, or taste life? If that is what you meant, you are correct. You cannot use the experience a non-object with the five senses.

Yes that is true also, but also we are thrown into this life with only a minimum amount of feelers, such as our senses. Because of this we can only feel a very small part of the whole, and that part we make into knowledge, and label it, but that's all it is, labels, or pointers pointing to that which cannot be truly known just by our senses.

You are trying to propel non-objects like love and consciouness into objects that are non-physical. This needs to be justified because there are objects and processes. You want everything to be objects.

I'm not done, more atheist rantings ahoy!

We also describe totally random powers this "creator" has. If it created our universe, it must know everything and be able to do anything! No, that's fucking ridiculous. Just because it can make something that seems impressive to us, that does not imply total control over it, or anything else. It might me the thickest piece of shit in it's own reality. Of course, we have "decided" that it has no peers, based on nothing.

And this ludicrous idea that it can and will give "afterlives" in some meta-dimension to every bit of slimy crud that goes through a cosmic blink of existence, to stay forever in some dream land or hell hole. We just decided it can do this, based on what we want to happen. Crud dreams. Thinking that this makes it real is letting fantasy entirely consume reason. We have no single speck of evidence for afterlives. A familiar trait for religious ideas.

Everything is a process, nothing is static, its all ever flowing, even objects that we can touch are flowing, each time we touch it its never the same as before, its like stepping into a river, you can never step into the same river. So what we know as objects are again through the senses, and this whole Cosmos of flowing is God, or whatever name you like, its all a mystery, you and I well never get it.

There is no it, nothing created the universe, there is nothing but the universe, so who is creating ?.

The God of Abraham or a more generic God? For the sake of it, I might debate the existence of Brahmā with you.

Well by creator I mean who (if anyone) created what we think of as reality. I don't think there is one either. But it's possible we are in a simulation, or our "universe" as it appears is confined within some larger reality.

I'm not saying it's likely. But my point is, even if it's true, we know nothing about the creator. And it's possible we never will. What people have at the moment are fictions.

I find it far more likely that we're either the only reality there is, or an offshoot from some other reality that got fragmented somehow. Creators come a weak third, the most likely of which is some sort of simulator.

In my opinion of course Smile I'm not making claims that what I'm saying is true, it's just my evaluation.

Believing that the universe is not made for people and no god is looking out for people, might make one more aware that one is dependent on oneself and others, but it hardly leads to selfish behavior with regard to others. Atheists don't appear to be generally selfish, nor theists generally selfless.

So you have no safe guards or checks and you don't think about it but you're confident that your led by altruistic motives? BS.

And you think that submitting to an overarching positive influence leads to egotistical living? Again... BS.

Thinking that humans are so important as to be the sole purposes of the vast expanse of the cosmos, almost all of which is deadly to humans, and despite the fact that most of our planet is also uninhabitable, and that the creator loves us even though there are people starving and suffering all the time...

That is BS.

Especially since humans evolved billions of years after the universe was in place, and our planet will eventually not support us any more. We're here for a cosmic blink, then apparently everything is worthless forever.

If you think that's designed for us... Well.

I think an awful lot of people have said that for a very long time, and still do.

You may have your own interpretation sure.
