What will it take to convert you?

Never played a Paladin for the Lawfull/Good restriction. I always played a chaotic/neutral Cleric.

Fuck 'em?

I'd say that's a fair opinion. Still no theist rebuttals from what I can tell?

let me ask you this and many others. From the closet star, I envision the earth to look like a dot on a piece of paper and out of that dot is a spec of dust which represents you. You being that spec of dust if we are to believe the concept of a God is true for a moments time.

Making demands such as "god if i'm to believe you are real, i want to have all your powers for a day" or "i want 100 million dollars" or i want "1 million virgins" is comical at best.

Even if you don't accept the reality of a God and when i use the word "God" in this context, i say it likely because i'm not talking about a skydaddy, magic man, zeus, flying spegtthetic monster sitting in the clouds concept of God that we have.

Picture this, if you went to a president/head of state right now, or infront of a judge and you wanted to make a request, even contentiously. You won't dare speak in the tone which are relayed in this thread.

But alas, i know this is the internet and people are usually bad boys, intelligent gaints and brave warriors when it comes to the internet.

And that goes to any subject matter which are discussed on the internet.
So i take these post requests with a grain of salt.

But i will say something. If, pardon me, when God reveals himself to you in the most significant but personal way. If you reject him, its not because lack of evidence but because we are content to live without him.

For myself I'd say god has his/her work cut out. It would probably require altering my ability to exercise free will. Most religions have too many hypocritical practices and texts for me to buy into the bs.

There is a further question if you're a theist. We'll give your intelligence the benifet of the doubt and ask why you still believe with all the evidence against the bible/torah/whatever?

With all the "proof" and "case" threads going on that are either trolls or actually trying convert a few of us, I'm curious.

Barring a mental illness, or brain disease I cannot see myself in my current lucid state ever going back to believing.

You are content without believing in Allah. You are content without believing in Vishnu. So yea, I am content without believing in your fictional god too. I simply reject one more sky hero claim than you do.

what's up with the 'sky ___' God doesn't reside in the sky, space, etc.
Interesting concept of God there though.

Anyway i certainly don't debate Muslims by reading up and quoting from websites of badly taken out of context and misinterpreted text
So I could say "hahhaha here look at this " as some (or may i say all) atheist do.
I wonder if anyone have tried going through their English classes by knowingly butchering their given literature the same way.
Pretty sure the letter "F" will be waiting for them.

1. The magnitude of the universe and how it relates to my own insignificance is not lost on me.
2. To hell with virgins, I want women who know what they are doing.
3. I have personally told brass and a judge to stick it up their ass. Your argument is invalid.
4. I know this is the internet. I also know I enlisted at 17, deployed twice, and can prove it. Stick it up your ass.
5. Your god doesn't exist. Fuck him.
I reject your reality and substitute my own!

You don't? It's fucking hilarious man you should try it.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Buddhist atheism is a bit different - the existence of god(s) is irrelevant. I wouldn't become Christian is Jehovah himself appeared and demanded worship. If such beings do exist, they are attention addicted ego-maniacs, whose attachment to worship binds them in suffering. I don't worship god(s) because it is neither necessary nor helpful, not because they aren't real (though they aren't, as far as I can tell).

Fair enough. Fair enough.

But isn't it weird the amount of animosity toward this fabricated pure intelligent energy. You would think you were personally hurt by him.

Talk to me bro, especially in a thread where the context is 'what will it take to convert you'. I'm confused.

Anyway i'm not trying to convert you through persuasive words of men's wisdom. But If you really want to genuinely talk about personal proof and evidence to you, we can talk, peacefully.

It's rather the fanclub and it's actions pissing us off.

Wisdom and believing in something that can't be proven are kind of mutual excluxive. And personal proof and evidence don't exist, since they are, well, personal. It's just like the guy claiming his camera go broken, just when this giant UFO was hovering over him.
