Sure thing GC. Wiping away part of your memory isn't tampering at alll.

Feel free to enjoy your lobotomized happy place, I'll pass, thanks.

Okay, but you'll be missing out on the greatest of life, with the greatest Life of all.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

I'm already living my greatest life of all, GC. Unlike you I don't need anything more than the world around me.

We will all be brother and sister with Christ and will all have the Father, one great big seriously happy family.

If your mind is that altered, how can you even be sure it'll be 'you' up there?
Maybe 'you' as you know 'you' won't even exist at that point.

Haha, holy shit Strider I didn't think you'd actually call it that well.

But, like the saved you will receive another life, guaranteed to be much worse than this one or any you could imagine.

I did some kind of drug every day for fifteen years. I was completely addicted, in the end having blackouts even during my relatively sober hours. Then I stopped. I credit God with that. You would likely call it spontaneous recovery and credit some as yet unknown natural cause.

If someone's struggling with drugs, I tell them my story. Maybe they hear similar stories, maybe they don't. Maybe they agree with me, maybe they think as you do. Doesn't really matter to me. I'm sober and I'm happy. When I get resentful about something in my life, I remember that God has forgiven me, and I become grateful and forgiving again, which makes me happier. My life is really good. So you think my standards of evidence aren't high enough? BFD Tongue

I'm not looking to become an active contributor to this thread, but I think you'll find that most Atheists will credit your drug addiction recovery (congratulations, by the way) to you and you alone. There's more beauty in that, in my opinion; having the shred of independence to make that decision on your own is a beautiful thing.

We all have vulnerabilities and I can understand why someone might want to believe in a higher power but Alphamale, you are underestimating yourself.

Also, of course, I don't think that your standards of evidence are high enough. LOL I am very glad that you were able to overcome your addictions in whatever manner helped you the most.

Again with the threats..

You can keep saying that over and over, but I don't believe you, and it doesn't impact the quality of this life.

The righteous through Christ would beg for it if it were not given as a loving gift, which it is.

That is depressing.
